What is the PTA?
A PTA is a Parent Teacher Association, an organisation with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn. Engaines Primary School and Nursery PTA brings together parents, teachers and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community. They raise extra funds through a wide range of fun and creative initiatives, events, and much, much more.
How do I join?
If you want to take a more active role within your Parent Teacher Association, attend a PTA meeting - you can find information about your meetings from the school office. It is always a good idea to attend a few PTA sessions before committing yourself to become an active member to understand the responsibilities you may take on. Once you know the role you may play in the PTA, you can speak to the secretary about what to do next. It’s a great way to be part of school life!
Our PTA Chair is Emma Tresadern, the PTA Secretary is Emma Hawkins, and the PTA Treasurer is Caroline Hyde.
