Level 3 Nursery Practitioner

Engaines Nursery are looking for a level 3 nursery practitioner to work within our busy setting. We are a popular, ever-growing nursery situated in the village of Little Clacton and very much part of Engaines Primary School.

Hours - 8.30-3.30 (35 hours per week) term time only (38 weeks per year)

The purpose of the post is:-

  • To provide a high standard of physical, social and intellectual care for the children placed in the setting.
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.
  • To build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children's needs to be met.

A sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential.

First aid qualification desirable.

Pay dependent on qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Disclosure. Engaines Primary School and Nursery is fully committed to protecting its pupils and staff. Permanent Midday Assistant/1 to 1 required for immediate start

Friendly caring people required to work with pleasant, well behaved pupils aged 5 - 11. You will be working within a small
team of existing MDA's during the lunch break to help supervise play, the children eating lunch and the clearing of the school hall. You may also be asked to work as a 1 to 1 support on occasion or permanently if this is your preferred role.

Engaines Primary School and Nursery is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all pupils. Enhanced DBS disclosure, staff disqualification
declaration and references will be required.

Hours: 12.00 pm - 1.15 pm (6.25 hours per week) term time only (38 weeks per year)

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young
people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.


Pay point Band 1 £9.00 per hour.
